Changing a fibre service is usually more administrative than technical. The physical line may already exist, but an ISP still has to close or transfer the old service correctly, the FNO must recognise the right customer and address, equipment ownership must be clear, and the billing dates of two providers may not align. This guide series explains the lifecycle after installation: switching ISP on the same fibre network, understanding migrations and line releases, moving to another address, using an installation left by a previous tenant, returning a router, comparing contract types, giving cancellation notice, checking clawbacks, understanding overlapping invoices, changing package speed and escalating an unresolved billing or service-account complaint.
